THE PURSUIT OF MANKIND: FOR GLORY or VANITY?

The first Sunday service at the God of Fire Global Evangelical Ministry (GOFGEM) Headquarters, Ori Oke Olorun -Ina, Dada Estate Osogbo was ushered in with a sacrifice of praise and rapturous dancing to the Almighty God in appreciation for the out gone year and anticipation towards the exploits to be performed in Christ in the new year. Congregants were all beautifully adorned alongside the Minister in charge, Evangelist Peter Kolajo who danced graciously before he went on to bless all present that the joy and sweetness of 2019 would not elude any.
Evangelist Kolajo in his short sermon admonished all present to seek and pursue Jesus the holder of the keys to eternity so that the glory of God would be made manifest in the lives of all. The pursuit of mankind world over is focused towards mundane, destructible things which are a misplaced priority thus the reason for the quest and thirst for Vanity. He expressed his disappointment over the resilient nature of all to acquire and amass worldly possessions, power and fame leading to the rise in societal vices such as Insecurity, injustice, corruption, kidnappings, ethnic bigotry, unemployment, poverty, power and infrastructure deficit evident in our scenery.
Also the man of God explained that good, lasting things come from heaven above where God dwells and comes only to those that focus on Him alone in all of their thoughts, aspirations and pursuit. With the life of Joseph, Simon Peter and Zacchaeus as case studies, he buttressed on the need for the pursuit after righteousness and the Kingdom of God because despite the status and positions of these aforementioned men in the bible, they never wavered in their thirst for steadfastness in God leading to the manifestation of God’s glory through and in their individual lives.
Above all things, the Cleric encouraged all to accept and submit alone to the authority of Jesus Christ  and be prepared to experience Greater Changes under His sovereignty.
